Individual support for children and young people
Our educational support offers targeted help with behavioral problems and challenges for children and young people aged 6 to 18. This support is aimed at helping children and young people to overcome developmental deficits and educational problems that affect their everyday lives.
We offer parenting support in the districts of Hameln-Pyrmont, Schaumburg, Holzminden and the Hanover region.
Who is this help suitable for?
The parental support is aimed at children and young people who:
have developmental deficits or delays
Have low self-confidence and few positive self-efficacy experiences
Show behavioral problems or emotional blockages that are exacerbated by family stress
Showing conspicuous social, work or performance behavior, especially with a lack of group skills
having difficulties due to stressful life events
How do we support children and young people?
Our help for children and young people is based on individual needs and includes:
Active support in leisure activities
Support in dealing with personal crises
Joint development of future perspectives
cooperation with schools, doctors and authorities
Supporting the development of relationships between children/young people and their parents
Coaching in practical areas of life, e.g. dealing with media consumption
In some cases, the parenting assistant works together with the family support service and the family and is specifically responsible for accompanying and supporting the child and/or young person.

The aim of educational support is:
Resolving development-related conflicts
To strengthen social skills, conflict resolution skills and the self-esteem of children and young people
Recognizing and promoting individual strengths and interests
Stabilize emotional relationships within the family

To improve interaction within the family
How can you get our help?
Parental assistance is a benefit under the Social Code (§30 SGB VIII) and can be applied for at the responsible youth welfare office (in the district of Hameln-Pyrmont “Office for Youth and Inclusion”) as help with challenges facing children and young people.
