Our supervised contact offer is a temporary youth welfare measure that aims to ensure and shape the right of contact between parents and children.
We offer accompanied visits in the districts of Hameln-Pyrmont, Schaumburg, Holzminden and the Hanover region.
Who is the help for?
The supervised contact support service is aimed at families where contact between parents and children is difficult to maintain without support for various reasons.
Possible reasons for the need for this help may be:
separation situations
Domestic violence
mental illnesses
addiction problems
Lack of parental competence
How do we help?
The focus of our work is always the individual family system. We offer targeted support to promote and strengthen contact between parents and children. Possible content of the help includes:
Accompanying and monitoring contacts
counseling on parenting and relationship issues
Involvement of children in the design of the visits
Joint leisure activities to promote the relationship
What is the aim of the help?
The aim of supervised visits is to enable and strengthen contact between the separated parent and the child after a separation or to ensure contact with both parents after a return to the family of origin.
How do I get help?
Supervised contact is a benefit under the Social Code (Section 18, Paragraph 3 KJHG; Section 50 KJHG; Section 1684, Paragraph 4 BGB) and can be applied for as assistance with education at the responsible youth welfare office (in the district of Hameln Pyrmont: Office for Youth and Inclusion) or at an educational counseling center.
